English
Primary 4 – Primary 6
Upper Primary English is where students move from learning the language to performing under examination conditions. Every component of PSLE English — comprehension, composition, grammar, cloze, and oral — requires a distinct set of skills, and we build each one deliberately.
Our approach is structured and exam-aware without being mechanical. Students who understand why certain answers score and others do not develop a level of control over their performance that rote practice alone cannot produce.
What We Cover
Comprehension Mastery
Students tackle open-ended, visual text, and cloze passages using structured techniques for inference, summarising, and language use questions — the exact skills PSLE rewards.
Composition & Continuous Writing
We teach students to plan, draft, and refine narratives that score well — strong openings, coherent plot structure, precise vocabulary, and purposeful language choices.
Grammar, Vocabulary & Editing
The editing component trips up many students. We drill the most frequently tested grammar errors, homophones, and punctuation so students can identify and fix mistakes confidently.
Oral Communication
Reading aloud and stimulus-based conversation are practised with targeted feedback. Students learn to speak clearly, respond thoughtfully, and project confidence in the oral examination.
