Secondary 1 – Secondary 2 · G3 Track
Secondary 1 and 2 represent a step change in what English demands. The jump from primary comprehension to secondary-level text analysis, from personal narrative to structured argumentation, catches many students off guard. We bridge that gap from the start.
Our Lower Secondary G3 English programme builds the skills that O-Level will eventually test, two years before the pressure of Sec 3 and 4 kicks in. Students who enter Upper Secondary with strong foundations spend that time refining, not catching up.
What We Cover
Comprehension & Text Analysis
Secondary comprehension demands inference, evaluation, and language analysis at a higher level than primary school. We build these skills methodically so students are never guessing.
Expository & Argumentative Writing
Essay writing in secondary school requires structured arguments, not just narrative. Students learn to plan, draft, and revise essays with clear thesis statements, developed points, and precise language.
Summary Writing
A skill unique to the O-Level format, summary writing requires students to identify key points and paraphrase accurately. We practise this systematically with real past-year extracts.
Oral & Listening
Spoken English examinations at secondary level require more than fluency — they demand the ability to interpret visual stimuli and engage in extended conversation. We prepare students thoroughly.
