English

Primary 1 – Primary 3

The early primary years are when a student's relationship with English is formed. Our Lower Primary English programme is designed to make that relationship a strong one — building genuine fluency, curiosity about language, and the habits that carry students through every stage ahead.

We do not rush. Foundations done right the first time mean students never need to go back and undo bad habits. Every lesson connects reading, writing, and speaking so students see English as a whole rather than a set of disconnected tasks.

What We Cover

Phonics & Word Recognition

We build confident readers from the ground up — systematic phonics instruction, sight word fluency, and vocabulary development tailored to each student's level.

Reading Comprehension

Students learn to extract meaning, infer beyond the text, and answer questions with precision. We work through passages pitched at the right level to stretch without overwhelming.

Creative Writing & Expression

From sentence construction to paragraph writing, students develop the habit of writing with purpose — clear ideas, vivid language, and proper structure from an early age.

Oral & Listening Skills

Confident communication starts early. We build students' spoken English through structured practice — reading aloud, picture discussion, and spoken response techniques.
